All the departments are fully equipped with charts, models, slides, well planned museums, special sophisticated equipments (foreign and indigenous). Regular daily study hours supervised by the faculty members is an integral part of the curriculum of GSL. Consistent care is being taken to achieve high standard of production from GSL. Periodic assessment examinations and evaluation system are regularly being implemented for encouraging the students towards concentrated learning and to help for betterment. Unlimited hours of internet facility is being organized in the institution for constant surfing of information on various subjects to help for regular study and to orient for future research projects. Inviting eminent professionals from all over globe is providing a wide and versatile exposure to medical knowledge. Students are actively involved in participation of seminars, workshops and integrated medical teaching with the use of various AV aids.. They are also made as a constituent of audience during CME.

Teaching faculty is taking active part not only in fulfilling the institutional needs of the curriculum but also attending to various conferences at state and national level and presenting papers, regularly winning awards, laurels and accolades. Teaching faculty has been contributing regularly to the National and International journals. A full pledged Medical education Cell is established in the department of Community medicine to steer the students through various education programmes and to organize field visits for hands on experience in field medical service. Elocution competitions and debates are made mandatory to improve leadership qualities among students and to erase any possible inhibitions. One of our teaching faculty Dr.P.V.Prabhakara Rao, Professor and Head of Respiratory Medicine Department, was bestowed upon with “The Best Teacher Award” by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh during the acdemic year 2005 – 06.
