On the eve of World Health Day - 2007, Management of GSL Educational Institutions has pledged to invest in the health of new born children for their better future. You will be pleased to know that our hospital has commenced providing antenatal check up including laboratory test ; conducting deliveries under the supervision of gynecologist and pediatrician; providing surgical intervention wherever necessary and offering post-natal check up - all free of cost to pregnant women visiting this hospital.Further, to encourage mothers to bring their new born children for monthly follow-ups and immunization, we have committed to gift the child with a baby frock during each visit. As you are aware all infants need top feeds right from fourth month of their life and even earlier if mother's milk in inadequate. To meet the cost of milk and baby food, the management proposed to gift RS.1000 /- (Rupees one thousand only) each to all poor women who deliver at GSL Hospital. The management has already commenced disbursing gift money to these ladies. The response has been overwhelming. |

GSL General Hospital is providing health care facilities to well over ten lakh population.The scheme will encourage women to opt for institutional delivery and thereby reduce perinatal mortality.It will increase the clinical material so essential for the training of medical and paramedical students of our institutions.You will agree that with megre resources available at its command, the management will not be able to shoulder the financial burden of the scheme on its own for a long time. We therefore, appeal to all to donate contributions will facilitate feeding a poor infant. At your own turn, you will also have the pleasure of presenting the gift cheque to the mother at GSL GH and share their happiness.
